“It’s Just Phenomenal.”: Despite Losing the Ability to Walk, Horse Stuns Equestrian World With the Perfect Comeback

While the human race is capable of destruction, it's capable of nuture and kindness at the same time. For every account of hatred, there is one of love and healing. Similarly, in a tale of abandonment and rescue, a pinto horse who was left for dead by his previous owners has now shown exemplary resilience with an equestrian feat.

Woody shows exemplary resilience

Last autumn, My Lovely Horse Rescue Charity Shop (MLHR) found the horse, Woody, collapsed on the side of a road in Tipperary, Ireland. They contemplated that Woody might not make it through the night. However, Woody proved all the naysayers wrong by recovering fully and becoming a show horse.

Horse Wins Hearts

Not only did Woody participate, but he won his first rosette at Cork Summer Show in Curraheen after coming in second. When Orianna and Woody participated in the event, the judges had no clue about the horse’s history. However, when they realised what had happened to him, his story grabbed the hearts of the nation, and across the world.

Horse's history: When Woody found his soulmate in a young girl

When Woody was on his way to recovery, a fosterer working with MLHR introduced him to Orianna, and it was “love at first sight” for the 13-year-old girl.
