“May He Rest in Peace”: Bull Riding Community Left Heartbroken as Young Cowboy Faces Tragic Fate

Seth Saulteaux, a man from Maskwacis, embraced the rodeo life, following in the steps of his bull-riding grandfather Marcel Saulteaux. He was just 14, when he rode his first bull. Ever since, he had set his sights on riding in the Professional Bull Riders circuit. However, those aspirations ended in the qualifier for the Indian National Finals Rodeo (INFR).

Seth Saulteaux, 19, died on Sunday from a head injury he received while bull riding in competition west of Calgary at the Chiniki rodeo grounds

'was traumatic'

"The loss of somebody so young in front of friends and family was traumatic and although not a Stoney Nakoda member we mourn the loss of someone so young with so much promise," spokesman Reg Fountain said.

Many were heartbroken upon hearting the news about the 19-year-old. One wrote, "Heartbreaking- at least his final moments were what brought him joy - May he rest in peace." [video Credits: Global News, YouTube]

Remembering the Bull Rider's achievements on track, another wrote, "Tremendous loss of a young man living his dream and chasing even bigger dreams! Condolences to all that loved him!"
