Rodeo Championship Unveils Star-Studded Roster for Epic Showdown

Mill Spring, North Carolina, is gearing up for the inaugural WCRA Rodeo Carolina, the East's richest rodeo. With 207 top athletes revealed for the 2023 Triple Crown of Rodeo, the stage is set for a thrilling showdown from October 6 to 8 at Tryon International Equestrian Center & Resort.

The Pioneering Rodeo:

Rodeo Carolina, a pioneering Mid-Atlantic event, makes history as the first Western rodeo at the state-of-the-art Tryon International venue, originally designed for the FEI World Equestrian Games, where Olympic-caliber athletes in show jumping and dressage have previously competed.

Isaac Diaz: The Contender for Glory:

Isaac Diaz, a saddlebronc rider from Texas, is in the lead for a $1 million bonus after winning two WCRA TCR events this season. If he wins at Rodeo Carolina, he'll be the second WCRA Triple Crown of Rodeo champion, earning the big bonus.

The Contenders' Circle Expands:

Isaac Diaz is joined by ten exceptional athletes, all with one WCRA Major victory each. This group includes Trisyn Kalawaia, Mason Clements, Martha Angelone, Riley Kittle, Jackie Crawford, Jace Helton, Kelsie Domer, Shad Mayfield, and Cheyenne Wimberly.

Carolina's Local Heroes

In addition to the $1 million WCRA TCR contenders, 39 Carolina athletes will proudly represent their region at Rodeo Carolina, elevating the excitement with their skills and local pride.

An Impressive Roster: The roster features over 200 skilled Western athletes, including 177 timed event competitors and 30 roughstock performers, all selected based on WCRA VRQ leaderboard nominations.
