Riverfront Equestrian Mansion with Celebrity TV Host Connections Hits Market

The UK riverfront mansion that once belonged to Charles Allsopp, Kirstie Allsopp's father, is now on the market, giving luxury real estate enthusiasts a chance to own a property connected to the famous British TV presenter.

A Legacy of Luxury

Nearly 25 years ago, the 6th Baron Hindlip, Charles Allsopp, and his wife Fiona, an interior designer, discovered Lyddon House, a grand mansion in Dorset dating back to the mid-19th century.

Their daughter, Kirstie Allsopp, a well-known British TV personality, fondly recalls her parents' love for the property. "They always wanted a house with water, and when Lyddon House came on the market, they jumped at the chance to buy it," said the Love It or List It UK co-host.

A Home Fit for Royalty

Lyddon House, a £6.5 million ($8 million) estate, meticulously restored and modernized, spanning 48 acres along the River Lyddon in Dorset. The main house offers 5,600+ sq. ft. of living space with four en-suite bedrooms featuring sash windows and high ceilings.

Luxurious Amenities and More

Along with modern updates, the house has a mill, a 2-bedroom cottage, an orchard, ponds, a greenhouse, and horse pastures. This equestrian mansion is a fusion of history, luxury, and star-studded heritage, providing a taste of British elegance and luxury.
