Dwayne Johnson's enduring love for sports led him to acquire the XFL from Vince McMahon in 2020 for a mere sum of $15 million. Recently, Olympic legend Michael Phelps showed his support for Dwayne Johnson and one of his motivational quotes was that he took inspiration from one of XFL’s best coaches. The 51-year-old recently took to his Instagram to post a daily update of his life, where he revealed the motivational quote.

Johnson uploaded a video on Instagram and claimed that the coach for DC Defenders’ Reggie Barlow had told him this, and it inspired him a lot. Thus he wrote something based on it.

Johnson said, “So, coach Barlow’s quote was this, ‘To do it in public, you gotta do it in private. Under stress and pressure, the most rehearsed action will arise.’ And what I love about that is, it just speaks to philosophically. One of my anchors which I always try to do my best to live by which is this idea. ‘Yes, there’s work that we put in public, the work we are scheduled to do. Where you are expected to be, and expected to deliver.’ “
