The Rise and Fall of Brock Lesnar in the NFL

Brock Lesnar has had a terrific career as a pro-wrestler. His work with WWE will go down as one of the biggest contributors to the industry. But, The Beast wasn’t always confined to combat sports. There was a time when Lesnar decided to halt his pro-wrestling career to pursue a different sport, football.

Lesnar left WWE in 2004

The Beast made his WWE debut in 2000 with his main roster debut in 2002. However, he left the company in 2004 to pursue a career in football.

Lesnar’s NFL run was rather short-lived

Unfortunately, Lesnar’s NFL run was rather short-lived. He worked with the Minnesota Vikings for a couple of preseason games, but he never made it to the season.

Lesnar got a chance to play in the NFL

He got a chance to play in the NFL with the Minnesota Vikings as a defensive tackle. Even before he could have a chance with The Vikings for the regular season, he was cut from the team.

Lesnar wasn’t quite successful on the NFL field

Lesnar wasn’t quite successful on the NFL field the way he was in the wrestling ring. While he had the strength and the build of a football player, he didn’t have the luck required to become a professional player in the league.

Brock met with a motorcycle accident

It’s unknown exactly what happened that became an obstacle for him. However, he did have a motorcycle accident during his days with the Minnesota Vikings. Hence, when he tried out for the season, he hadn’t fully recovered.

Lesnar wanted to stay in the United States

However, The Vikings did offer him the chance to play football in their NFL Europe affiliate team. But, Lesnar wanted to stay in the United States and passed up that opportunity. This was the end of Brock Lesnar’s short-lived NFL career.
