Patrick Mahomes Has an Unapologetic Response to The Lombardi Trophy Incident at the Chiefs Super Bowl Parade

Patrick Mahomes is having an amazing year in 2023, as he won his second Super Bowl title with the Chiefs. After the victory, he and his Chiefs teammates had a tremendous celebration. At one point, Mahomes could be seen giving away his Lombardi Trophy to a fan, which garnered plenty of criticism. Now, he revealed what exactly happened.

The Chiefs beat the Eagles 38-35 to win the Super Bowl 57 earlier this year. Mahomes had an amazing game, as he recorded 3 touchdowns and almost single-handedly won them the game. Eventually, he was awarded the Super Bowl MVP.

After winning the trophy, gave away the Lombardi Trophy to a fan while clicking selfies with them. Many thought he was drunk and gave away the trophy without any sense or knowledge. 

Mahomes clarified his actions


The 2x Super Bowl winner recently appeared on the Kelce brothers’ podcast, ‘New Heights’, and clarified his actions. He said, “He gave me that it wasn’t the real Lombardi. I mean I’ll admit it wasn’t the real one but it was cool it was a great replica. Dude gave it to me and I mean obviously Chiefs Kingdom’s coming out strong; so I gotta show the support.”
