“Just Name-Drop”: Cam Newton Hints at Fate-Changing Connection Like Colin Kaepernick

The former NFL MVP, Cam Newton's, statement stirred controversy as he claimed to be better than other quarterbacks. His recent comments once again caught everyone's eyes as he established a connection between himself and former quarterback Colin Kaepernick of the San Francisco 49ers.

The complex careers of the two stars

Newton was the top pick for the Carolina Panthers in the 2011 draft and has had a successful career until 2021. Conversely, after playing for the 49ers for six straight years, Kaepernick concluded his NFL career in 2016 because of his controversial stand during the national anthem at a game.

Newton established a fate-changing connection

Demonstrating his larger-than-life personality, Newton expressed his willingness to rejoin the NFL teams as backup. While talking on the "RG3 and The Ones" podcast hosted by Robert Griffin, he stated, ‘It’s bigger than just bringing on a talent.’ He added, "...just name-drop- but it’s like bringing Colin Kaepernick to the fold."

He clarifies his position in the NFL

In a recent statement, he boasted about himself, asserting his dominance over all the QBs. During the interview with Griffin, he stated, “I now know there’s not 64 guys that’s better than me.”
