Just a few months ago football was devastated by the death of legendary Minnesota Vikings head coach Bud Grant. This time, it’s Dartmouth’s backbone who has forged the team with his heart and soul of dedication and whose inspiring tale of victory is echoed among NFL disciples.

On Tuesday evening, a legendary head coach of Dartmouth’s College football team passed away. A legendary figure in the world of football, he won various Ivy League titles and set a record as the head coach of Dartmouth. His death has been mourned not only by fans but also by NFL superstars such as Eli Manning, as evidenced by his recent message.

Eli Manning shared a heart-touching Twitter post with a photo of the late Dartmouth legend Buddy Teevens, who passed away on Tuesday night. Manning’s post reads,” We lost a great man. He will be missed by so many people.” Teevens is one of the prime contributors since he stepped into the world of football and his demise is a massive loss to not only the team but to the world of football alike.

According to reports, the 66-year-old HC was riding a bike in Florida when he went through a truck accident that happened in March. His immense contribution was felt by the team as they penned heart-wrenching lines and respect towards their late coach, whom they treated as a family.

Heroes get remembered, but legends never die, this saying fits well under Teeven’s name. His dazzling victories are still remembered among NFL disciples. Before embarking into the coaching arena, Teevens was an excellent quarterback from 1975 to 1978. He then started as a head coach for DePauw in the year 1979. Moreover, he tried his hands on various stuff during his days in Spurriers’s Florida staff, which earned him the title of assistant offensive coordinator in 2001.

As a head coach of Dartmouth, the head coach has won many accolades, including the prestigious leagues with a dashing record of 117-101-2  record as a head coach.

With so many achievements under his belt, he is surely the epitome of versatile power. He may not be with us but, he will always remain in his fan’s hearts.
