Tiger Woods’ contribution to golf cannot be easily measured. The 15-time major champion has undoubtedly increased golf’s profile and attention, which is difficult to quantify. When you ask an impressionable young golfer who their role models are, you will almost always hear Tiger Woods mentioned.

The majority of fans, though, were sad not to witness Woods’ magic this year. Due to ankle surgery, he missed the majority of the season and now won’t even feature in the Ryder Cup. Despite these plaguing injuries and abundant absences, however, there is something in Woods that makes it destined for him to get the biggest glory. And it’s not just those in the golf world who know it. The NFL legend, Tom Brady, does too, and recently opened up about it to the whole world on live TV with an honest “prodigy” confession about the golf pro!

Brady, one of the biggest NFL stars in the sport, retired earlier this year. While he embarked on his new journey, he headed to the Patrick Bet6-David podcast to shed light on all things Brady so far. Hosted at the 2023 VAULT conference, Brady discussed his time in the NFL, the difficult situations he endured, his adversaries, and the factors that contributed to his famous achievement, and he provided fresh insights into his current path. How then did Woods’ name fall into the mix?

While discussing how much he had practiced to become the finest version of himself, Brady spoke about how his best qualities for the game didn’t just come naturally to him or over time; in fact, he had become more competitive with time and worked harder towards his goals. He cited that he wasn’t like some players who were born with talent, like Tiger Woods, who was always deemed a “prodigy.”

Brady even brought up one of Woods’ earliest public appearances when, at just 4, the golf legend was striking golf balls on live TV. Shedding light on how good the 15-time major champion really was, the NFL star stated, His swings look as good as they did at three years old as he grows older.”

Brady was undoubtedly spot on with his assessment of Woods. The golf pro was a prodigy in his time and went on to shatter records both as an amateur and as a professional. And judging by Woods’ performance at the 2019 Masters, especially, there is perhaps still more that he can offer in the game of golf.

Woods unquestionably owes all his achievements to the swing that he flaunted on live TV more than four decades ago and honed over the years. To date, his swings are the talk of the town, and just days ago, a major winner went on to praise them publicly, suggesting they were a pristine work of art!

One-time major champion Jason Day has always been a fan of the legendary player’s abilities, and he’s far from shy to express that. Recently on a podcast, Day was asked which golfer’s swing video he had watched, and the answer was unflinchingly Woods’, more specifically, that of the 15-time major champion swinging his club at the Sherwood Country Club.

Being in his fan zone moment, Jason continued his praise of the Woods’ swing and claimed that his golf swings are like the famed Mona Lisa. “I don’t know what the tournament was or where it was, but I just love his right hand coming down pulling back. Oh my gosh, it’s literally like the Mona Lisa of golf swings,” he stated boldly.
