The role of parents is instrumental in shaping a child’s life. For Tom Brady, the principles his parents imparted helped him to respect the game. The 7X SB champion, who comes from humble beginnings, opened up on how his parents led him to become an NFL legend. There were loads of personal challenges, but the NFL player overcame these and became a champion.

The former Bucs player touched upon his parent’s impact and what it was like to grow up in a working middle-class family. He cited two important qualities as having shaped his legacy. He also discussed his childhood struggles and the immense moral support offered by his parents.

Today, Tom Brady is a name that is synonymous with the NFL. He is an enigma, a legend, and a G.O.A.T. who went on to shatter records all throughout his 20-year career. After sharing an emotional retirement video, the star moved on to some interesting investment adventures.

Recently, in an interview with PBD Podcast, the former Patriots QB shared his parents’ role in his successful career. “Other traits that maybe were hard to identify but that were really sustainable over time. I’d say work ethic and discipline. And that was instilled in me I think by my parents.” He highlighted these two as the most important traits that his parents bestowed upon him from a young age.

He further elaborated on what it was like to grow up at home on a daily basis: “Growing up where in an environment where my Dad was out to work every morning. You know, try to go make a living for our family. And my Mom woke up every day trying to figure out how to make sure the home was comfortable for us.”

It was an emotional Tom Brady that appeared for the interview. The legendary QB highlighted how both of his parents worked hard every day to nurture their kids. It’s the result of this upbringing that Brady always hopes to inspire the next generation of talented NFL players with.

There are a lot of things, including managing finances, that the G.O.A.T. learned during his NFL career. He recently shared a sound piece of advice with another NCAA hero- Sheduer Sanders. Sheduer and his father, Deion Sanders, were guests on Brady’s Let’s Go podcast.

Towards the end of the conversation, Deion asked the 15X Pro Bowler if his son required the Rolls Royce he purchased for himself. Tom shot back in jest with a hilarious answer, “I think he needs to get his a** in the film room and spend as much time in there as possible. Less time in the car and more time in the film room.” However, all was done as part of a hilarious banter between the two thick mates.

Brady’s revelation regarding his parents is inspiring. It’s the little things in life such as the traits highlighted by the ex-QB that go on to lay the foundation of a long and successful career.
