Coach Prime Shares Heartfelt Instagram Post Regretting Not Meeting Late Legend


One of the legends of college football and the NFL, Deion Sanders, had a legendary career. The dual Hall of Fame holder is currently working as the head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes. In a recent post, he talked about one regret about not meeting legendary comedian John Elroy Sanford. 

Who is John Elroy Sanford?

Sanford was popularly known by his stage name, Redd Foxx. He was a legendary American stand-up comedian, who starred in multiple shows back in the 60s and 70s. The comedian starred in probably one of the most popular shows in the 70s, called ‘Sanford and Son’. He passed away in 1991 at the age of 68.

As Sanders started his tenure as the HC of the Buffs, he started a program called ‘The Pre-game Show’, where he discusses the upcoming game of the Buffs. Meanwhile, in the latest episode of the show, he remembered the legendary comedian, Redd Foxx.

Earlier, Sanders took to Instagram and shared a video clip from the ‘Sanford and Son’ show, and in the caption, he wrote, “The way I father my kids is a lot like Fred G. Sanford, George Jefferson & James Evans. I'm not happy that I never got to meet Redd Foxx before he past away. He was 1 of my childhood heroes.”
