“Patrick Mahomes Has The Flu”: Kansas City Chiefs’ QB Feeling Sick, But Decides To Play Against The Broncos

It was a heartbreaking day for Kansas City Chiefs, with their quarterback battling the flu in the cold Denver weather and the team losing by one digit. The Broncos had a major moment, breaking their 16-game losing streak to the Chiefs with a final score of 24-9.

Despite being sick, Mahomes decided to play

Despite high expectations for the Chiefs and Mahomes, news about the star quarterback surprised everyone. A Twitter post by Senior NFL insider Dianna Russini stated, “Patrick Mahomes has the flu. He was feeling sick on Saturday. He has been receiving IVs both yesterday and today. He is not feeling great, but he will play, per source.”

Mahomes missed his Jordan moment

If everything went well for the Chiefs, Mahomes would have become the first quarterback to start his career with a 13-0 record against his divisional rivals and second quarterback going undefeated with 14 to his name. But unlike Jordan, who pulled off a massive win with flu-like symptoms, the harsh weather was not in Patrick's favor.
