Former NFL Star and His Wife Brittany Make Generous Donation to Tiller Tunnel Stadium in Memory of Their Beloved Coach

Former New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees has achieved many things in the NFL after playing for almost 20 years. After retiring from the NFL, he has become the interim assistant coach of the Purdue Boilermakers. Recently, he made a great gesture, remembering the former coach of the Boilermakers.

Drew Brees’ amazing career

Brees started his career with the San Diego Chargers in 2001; however, most of his success came with the New Orleans Saints. In 2009, he won his first Super Bowl title, along with the Super Bowl MVP. The 13x Pro-Bowler retired after 20 seasons, ending his career with the Saints.

Brees joined coaching after retirement

After retiring from the NFL, Purdue came back to Purdue University’s coaching unit, where he played from 1998 to 2000. In December, last year, he joined the team as the interim assistant coach.

Brees paid tribute to his former head coach

Brees played under the head coach Joe Tiller during his stint with the Purdue University. In 2017, Tiller passed away. Remembering his former head coach, he and his wife Brittany donated towards making Tiller Tunnel. “Brittany and I are really excited to support @purdueathletics and @boilerfootball with our matching donation towards the Tiller Tunnel! A great way to honor the legacy of our late HC Joe Tiller and create an incredible gameday experience for Boiler fans and players!” Brees wrote on Instagram.
