“We Now, Move On”: Amidst New Baby Being Born & $120 Million Dangling in the Air, Pat McAfee Clears the Air on Brett Favre Nuisance

Earlier this year, McAfee faced a legal battle after the Green Bay Packers legend Brett Favre decided to file a lawsuit against the ex-NFL star for alleged defamation during one of his podcast episodes. Pat McAfee has come forward to clear the air. He has revealed new updates regarding the Favre dilemma that had taken place.

Favre to drop the lawsuit

In a recent episode of the Pat McAfee show, the ex-NFL punter provided fans with a full update on what was going on with Brett Favre. McAfee said that the statements he had made in a “comedic style” were based “solely on public information and allegations.”

Brett withdraws suit against McAfee

McAfee said, “I am pleased to report that based solely on me again clarifying these points now, with no settlements paid, Brett is withdrawing his suit against me. I would much rather talk about sports than about lawsuits. So I’m glad we have all of this behind us. We now, move on.”

Favre had felt disrespected by comments made by McAfee

McAfee had called the former Packers QB “a thief” who was “stealing from poor people in Mississippi.” This led to Favre feeling that he was being defamed on the show, further prompting him to file the lawsuit.
