Stan Savran, was known as one of the most passionat sports enthusiasts in the industry. While the Sports Hall of Fame inductee was fighting through numerous health complications and ailments like lung cancer, he still managed to show up to do what he loved most, which was quite commendable.

President Art Rooney II shared a heartfelt note on Twitter on the team’s page after their terrible loss. He began the note writing, "Today is a sad day in the city of Pittsburgh". President Rooney further shared about his "gentleman" quality and appreciated all his amazing work and contributions. He also added that Stan was also a valued contributor to the Hall of Honor committee.
