“100% Horses**t” – Joe Rogan Not Happy With Tokyo Olympics 2020 Over Sha’Carri Richardson’s Ban

The suspension of 100m sprinter, Sha’Carri Richardson from Tokyo Olympics 2021 has created a lot of controversies. Many have lashed out at the authorities for suspending the sprinter. Famous stand-up comedian and podcaster, Joe Rogan has also criticized not just the authorities but also the people who are building conspiracy theories related to her suspension.

Sha’Carri Richardson was suspended because she consumed weed to deal with her mother’s untimely demise. Her suspension ends in the middle of the Olympics. So she was surely going to miss the 100 meters but was eligible for the relay. However, later the US track and field confirmed her dismissal from the Olympic team.

“A 100% horses**t. I think it’s infuriating that this lady who is apparently like she’s a shoo-in for the gold medal in the hundred meters, she’s supposed to be spectacular and they’re not gonna let her run that but they’re gonna let her run the relay,” Joe Rogan said.

Joe Rogan called Sha’Carri’s suspension ‘dumb’. He also called out many people who were spreading conspiracy theories regarding Sha’Carri’s suspension. Notably social media saw an influx of theories on Sha’Carri using marijuana to hide her usage of steroids.

“It’s so dumb. Look if they caught her doing steroids, okay I get it okay. But man there was a lot of people accusing her of steroids there was like a lot of people accusing her of a conspiracy so the reason why she smoked weed was so that she could get caught for weed and not get caught for steroids. I was reading this I’m like you’ve people who can’t just look at things for what they are. Everyone has to like look at things like with this conspiracy theory lens,” he added.

Sha’Carri Richardson was surely a gold medal prospect for the USA at Tokyo Olympics 2020. She is one of the fastest female sprinters in the world. And while she qualified for the Olympics, it was after that race that she was informed of her mother’s demise. She has now vouched to come back even stronger. But the debate over marijuana’s place in the doping list is highly debatable.
