In a do or die situation,  South Africa scored a mammoth 438 to take India out of the match and in the process broke quite a few records :

5) Amla fastest to reach 6000 runs

Hashim Amla became the fastest cricketer to reach 6000 Runs in ODI in his entire career. He was also the fastest cricketer to reach 2000,3000,4000 and 5000 ODI runs, and the fastest to score 20 ODI centuries as well.

4) Highest team Score at Wankhede

South Africa surpassed New Zealand’s score of 358-6 to score the highest total at Wankhede stadium, Mumbai

3) Faf Du Plessis gets highest individual score

Du Plessis surpassed his previous highest individual score of 126 against Australia to score 133 not out. Despite being injured he slaughtered the Indian bowlers towards the end of the innings to give us a great show.

2) Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowls the most expensive spell

The South African batsmen took Bhuvi to the cleaners and scored 106 runs of his 10 overs. His spell became the most expensive spell ever bowled by an Indian surpassing Vinay Kumar’s 102 run spell against Australia.

1)ABD first man to hit 50 sixes in a year

Mr 360 massacred  the bowling and hit 9 sixes on his way to a century and in the process became the first man to hit 50 sixes in one calendar year.
