This has to go down as one of the finest catches in the history of world of cricket.
Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar, referred to as God of the sport of cricket has been one of the greatest players that have existed on this planet. Many remember him for his brilliant 175, or for his double century but very few would probably remember him for his spectacular catch that he took to dismiss Inzamam Ul Haq.
India had toured Pakistan in 2003-04 and this was the fifth ODI of the series with all to play for as it was tied at 2-2. India had posted a target of 294 for Pakistan’s batsmen. A lot relied on Inzamam Ul Haq for taking Pak over the line as they were struggling at 87 for 4.
Though Tendulkar couldn’t do much with the bat that day, but he showed his magic in the field by taking this spectacular catch hence breaking the backbone of Pakistan’s run chase who ultimately were bundled out for 253. And as a result, India won the series 3-2.
