AEW Dynamite Results: Young Bucks Defend Tag Team Titles, Abandon Attacks Hiraku Shida, Dustin Rhodes Secures Huge Win

To capture the true Christmas spirit, AEW held a special ‘Holiday Bash’ edition of Dynamite. The show was full of matches, a title defense, some formal and informal returns, and more. However, here, we will give you a full record of the match results.

The Inner Circle (Chris Jericho and MJF) defeated Top Flight (Darius and Dante Martin)

Darius and Jericho got in the ring and started things off. Eventually, Top Flight showed some double teaming. However, Jake Hager caused a distraction from the ringside to give his compadres some leverage.

Dante fought off Jericho and let Darius in. Darius then fought Jericho off. MJF countered Dante’s powerbomb with a powerbomb of his own. However, Dante tried a quick rollup to no avail.

As Dante was struggling with Jericho, Darius made a tag. He hit a double DDT on the Inner Circle and had a momentary advantage. However, Hager set up MJF for the Heat Seeker for the win.

Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy, Luchasaurus, and Marko Stunt) defeated The Dark Order (Colt Cabana, 5, and 10)

The second match of the night saw veterans taking upon newbies. Cabana and Stunt started things off. Stunt went for the offense from the very beginning. Five tagged in and Jungle Boy, along with Stunt, executed a quick double team.

Cabana tagged in to join in on the action but Stunt escaped and tagged in Luchasaurus. Ten came in to try to level with him but failed. Jungle Boy too joined in on the action as the Jurassic Express displayed great tag team prowess.

However, the Dark Order soon got an opening and restrained Junge Boy from tagging in. Luchasaurus tagged and took out Dark Order before Cabana attacked him. Ten set up Stunt for a frog splash from Five but Jungle Boy broke the pin.

Chaos ensued as everyone attacked everyone but Jungle Boy finally hit a powerbomb to secure the win for the Jungle Express.

PAC defeated The Butcher

Pac is on a rampage ever since he returned and tonight was no different. Butcher tried to work on Pac’s injured back but Pac fought him off.

Butcher tried to gain the advantage outside the ring as he threw repeated kicks to Pac. He tried for a cover and followed it with more kicks. Pac soon got an opening on Butcher to ground him to his knees. But Butcher took PAC out with a clothesline and a high-impact slam.

Butcher continued wasting time. Lance Archer came out looking for Eddie Kingston who was on the commentary table, distracting Butcher. Pac took advantage and hit the Black Arrow for the win.

Dustin Rhodes defeated Evil Uno

Uno started the match with a slap on Dusty’s face. After the bell rang, Dustin fought back with corner punches. Dustin tried to hit a power slam but got a dropkick in return.

Dustin soon got an opening and hit Uno with back to back strikes. Soon after, Uno hit Dustin with a tombstone piledriver for a near-fall. After some punches, Uno hit Dustin with a spinning heel kick. However, Dustin made a strong comeback, securing the victory.

Hiraku Shida defeated Alex Garcia

It was a fairly quick match. Shida quickly went for the offense. Garcia tried to hit a dropkick before she got the same treatment and went outside the ring.

Garcia got in several pin attempts but Shida kicked out from all of them. She took out Abadon from the ringside before hitting the Falcon Arrow on Garcia for the win.

Following the match, Shida and Abandon had a confrontation, and Abandon bit Shida’s neck, setting up a possible feud.

AEW World Tag Team Title Match: The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) (c) vs. The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens & Max Caster)

For the main event, AEW had the title match. Matt and Caster started things off as the former hit caster with a dropkick and an arm drag. The Bucks double team on The Acclaimed for a while.

The Acclaimed get an opening after Bowens got his knees up as Nick tried for a senton atomico.  Caster took down Nick with a slam to the apron.

The Acclaimed continued to wear Nick down as they hit him with back to back moves. However, Nick slipped through another double team attack and made the tag to Matt.

Matt hit a double DDT on The Acclaimed before throwing Caster outside the ring. There Nick hit two Northern lights suplexes followed by a sharpshooter on Bowens. Caster tried to break the hold up but failed. Nick caught Caster on a sharpshooter as well. However, Bowens broke the hold off.

Bowens is caught into the Doomsday device for a two count. Nick got taken out by Caster. Soon chaos ensued and Nick accidentally attacked the referee. Taking advantage of the distraction, Caster hit Nick with a low blow, and Bowens hit him with the boombox for a near fall.

However, Bowens got super-kicked, and power bombed through the ringside table. The Bucks hit a superkick, and a BTE Trigger on Caster to retain their titles.
