AEW is a growing company in the industry, and to show its massive growth in the last two years, the company revealed major information.

The company announced AEW Dynamite will move to TBS starting from January 2022. Furthermore, the company will debut a new series, Rampage, in August. However, while this is a monumental move for the company, it left the fans wondering about the company’s mid-card title name – TNT Championship.

Dave Meltzer from Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that the company has decided not to change the name of the title when it moves to TBS. Nevertheless, this is the initial decision, and it can always change before January 2022.

“The TNT Title will be staying, so will be named the TNT Title on TBS. Obviously things can change, but I was told yeah, they’re gonna keep the TNT Championship.” H/t CageSideSeats.

Considering the short but significant legacy of the TNT Championship, there’s a high chance the name of the belt will not change.

The current TNT Champion is Miro. He will put the title on the line at Friday Night Dynamite when he goes up against Dante Martin.

The feud which is dominating AEW

Apart from the TNT Championship feud, a major feud which is dominating AEW at the moment is between two factions.

Chris Jericho’s The Inner Circle is in a feud with MJF’s The Pinnacle. The two factions faced one another at AEW Blood and Guts. While both factions performed well, MJF secured the win for The Pinnacle.

He threatened to throw Chris Jericho off the roof of the steel cage if the members of The Inner Circle did not surrender to him. To save Jericho, they surrendered, but MJF dropped him anyway.

AEW reported that the fall would keep Jericho away from screen for a week or two, but he arrived on screen at the next episode and interrupted a segment. He drove in with a vehicle carrying bubbly and the members sprayed it on The Pinnacle.

This indicates that AEW will move forward with the feud between the factions instead of putting an end to it. On the other hand, this might be a way of pushing MJF on the roster. The idea is to draw in more engagement before ending the feud.
