In the press meet of Heels, a reporter asked Punk if the influence of the show has anything to do with his return. Punk said after a laugh, “100%. It’s all Stephen Amell’s fault.” Amell plays the lead role of Jack Spade in Heels.

Amell then revealed that they were having dinner during the last episode. There he asked Punk if he was going back to the ring. He also said it was a great joy to be in the same ring as Punk.
