Don Callis was a former wrestler from Winnipeg, Manitoba and eventually transitioned to a full time commentator. He is an executive for Impact Wrestling currently, while also doing his duties as a commentator.

Don Callis and Kenny Omega go way back to their days in Winnipeg as both men looked to solidify their careers in the world of wrestling. Callis made some important and distinct calls during the match against Page, about how Kenny Omega had a tryout with the National Hockey League but chose to become a professional wrestler.

The iconic commentator has called some of Kenny Omega’s greatest matches in New Japan Pro Wrestling. He called Omega’s first G1 Climax victory in 2016 and his 6-star Wrestle Kingdom main event against Kazuchika Okada. In fact, Callis called every match between Kenny Omega and Kazuchika Okada.

Could his presence be a prelude to the return of the Cleaner?

Don Callis’ appearance in AEW could mean a myriad of things for the future of Kenny Omega. After losing the AEW Tag Team Championships to FTR, Omega decided to pursue his singles career and bring an end to his stint in the tag division.
