In 2017, Britt Baker matched on Bumble with a man who looked suspiciously like the independent scene’s hottest talent. He wrestled in Ring of Honor and even in New Japan Pro Wrestling, but his actual name is Austin Jenkins. Upon closer inspection, Baker realised that the man she matched with was Adam Cole.

She was in Hershey, Pennsylvania, at a dental conference when she matched with Cole on Bumble. She revealed on Chris Van Vliet’s podcast that she had doubts about dating him since he’s ‘not the most likeable character on TV’. They went on a date after he won the ROH World Championship from Kyle O’Reilly at Wrestle Kingdom, and they’ve been together ever since.
They dated long distance for a year-and-a-half
When Cole signed with NXT in 2017, Baker still had a year of dental school to finish in Pittsburgh. Until she graduated, Baker and Cole were in a long distance relationship, but she eventually moved to Orlando with him after she got signed to AEW. She also has her own medical practice in Winter Park, Florida.
Baker’s dental school schedule and Adam Cole‘s NXT run was a hindrance to their relationship, but they Facetime’d each other every night. The current AEW superstar revealed her boyfriend moving to the Performance Center affected her emotionally, but their movie nights over Facetime helped them stay together.

Now that Renee Paquette quit WWE and Bayley and Aaron Solow broke off their engagement, Cole and Britt Baker are only one of three AEW-WWE couples. The other two are Cedric Alexander and Big Swole and, of course, Miro and Lana.
Baker was photographed at NXT Takeover: War Games. She reacted to Tommaso Ciampa delivering an Air Raid Crash to her boyfriend from the top of the cage. Cole crash-landed through two tables below. Even NXT’s head honcho Triple H reacted to the shot of a concerned Britt Baker in the audience.

Apart from that shot, there’s actually a friendly competition between AEW’s Baker and NXT’s Adam Cole. Both Cole and Baker are ready to become the top stars of their individual companies, but that won’t keep them apart either.
