NJPW is the home of some incredible wrestling and pro-wrestlers. One of these talented athletes is English high-flyer and probably the best in the world, Will Ospreay. The British Heavyweight Champion turned heel at last year’s G1 Climax, attacking his stablemate Kazuchika Okada. However, Ospreay has surpassed his actions against Okada in a truly despicable fashion.

Will Ospreay and Shingo Takagi met in the finals of the 2021 New Japan Cup, the winner becoming No. 1 contender for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship. He and Takagi previously met in the Best of the Super Juniors Finals in 2019, where Ospreay slayed the Dragon of New Japan.

After a thirty-minute battle of power, precision, and athleticism, the Ariel Assassin prevailed once again over his rival. As Ospreay celebrated, the IWGP Double Champion Kota Ibushi came out to confront Ospreay. After a tense stare down, Ospreay attacked his own wife to prove a point.

Ospreay’s wife is former AEW and Stardom superstar Bea Priestley. She ate a devastating cutter (similar to an RKO or a Diamond Cutter) which left her lying on the mat. He walked away and seemed confused with his actions, but realised he did so to prove a point to the champion Kota Ibushi.

Kota Ibushi will defend the brand new IWGP World Heavyweight Championship against the Ariel Assassin at Sakura Genesis on April 4th.

Will Alexa Bliss be receiving a similar treatment at Fastlane?

After Ospreay’s cutter on his wife, one can’t help but want to see Alexa Bliss suffer the same fate at the hands of Randy Orton. Orton and Bliss meet in WWE’s first inter-gender match since Becky Lynch and James Ellsworth squared off in 2016.

While the Fiend might return to ruin an RKO for Bliss to eat, fans are desperate to see the demonic Firefly Funhouse member struck by WWE’s most popular finisher.

Ospreay will most likely move on to feuding with Kota Ibushi, his opponent for Sakura Genesis. The match between Ibushi and Ospreay holds special significance as it will be the first defence of the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion.

As for Bea Priestley, she can use this incident to escape to AEW once again. Priestley had a promising feud with Britt Baker, and she portrayed a stunning heel even though she was inexperienced.
