AEW President and CEO Tony Khan hits back at WWE again. Khan recently responded to a report that stated WWE’s stance on Indie talents right now.
According to reports from the Headquarters, WWE is not scouting indie talents as of now. They are going to let AEW use indie talents while WWE focuses on the ‘look.’ They will teach people with the “right look” how to wrestle. (Wrestling Observer Newsletter)
Khan responded to this news with a still from Ben Affleck’s “Jim Young” character from The Boiler Room, a crime drama film released in 2000. The movie is about a college dropout who gets a job as a broker for a suburban investment firm.

Affleck’s character is one of the co-founders. However, he soon realizes that the firm may not be as legitimate as they portray it to be. The image says, “We don’t hire brokers here; we train new ones.”
Khan seems to be hinting at how AEW is ‘making’ their own stars. AEW takes in veterans like Chris Jericho, Matt Hardy, Sting, Jon Moxley, Kenny Omega to mentor and train newbies like MJF, Orange Cassidy, Darby Allin.
