AEW Sells Over 15,000 Tickets in a Day, Expected to Register the Largest Non-WWE Crowd Since 1999

It is common knowledge at this point that All Elite Wrestling is the number one rival of WWE. Ever since its debut, the company has posed a legitimate threat to WWE’s ratings and credibility. AEW has only gained more fans after signing veteran wrestlers, and their tickets sales are proof of it.

Dave Meltzer recently tweeted out the record-breaking sales of AEW for Arthur Ashe Stadium. This crowd for AEW will be the largest in the history of the company.

The fans have given AEW credit for all its hard work. Giving what the fans want can never go wrong.

How is AEW different from WWE?

AEW is not free from criticism like WWE. However, the fans feel that AEW gives much more freedom to its wrestlers to express themselves. And since AEW wrestlers have this power, they deliver entertaining matches and leave the fans satisfied.

But can the same be said for WWE? Former WWE superstar, Matt Hardy, also recently spoke out about the creative differences between the companies.

A lot of ex-WWE wrestlers also have similar complaints about WWE. This could be a reason why so many veteran WWE wrestlers have jumped ship to AEW. It is almost similar to wrestlers jumping ship from WWF to WCW back in the ’90s.

However, WWE has shown signs of improvement lately. They have given Roman Reigns the heel turn fans had been crying out for years. This has made Reigns ‘The Head of the Table‘ and a star among the fans.

But there is still much left for WWE to do in order to get back to its glory days. The treatment of veteran wrestlers such as Jeff Hardy isn’t doing any favors towards helping them. But knowing WWE, they will bounce back from this even stronger.

AEW also just needs to keep its head down and do what is working for them all this time. What a time to be a wrestling fan!
