The former WWE Superstar was greeted warmly by cheering AEW fans. He couldn’t contain his joy and a smile broke out on his face. Miro expressed his gratitude in a video following his segment.
“Today is a special day because today is the best day ever. But it IS the best day,” said Miro. “It’s not just the gimmick, it’s not just the name, it’s not something that I came up with. It really is the best day ever.”
“You know if you haven’t heard any of the promo, any of the things I said, I meant that 10 years, same roof, brass ceiling, always pictured there was this brass ring-,” explains Miro, “-this imaginary brass ring that I already told you what to do with the brass ring (laughs).”
Formerly known as Rusev in WWE, the AEW debutant is set to make it big on his new stint. He was released after his gimmick was suppressed by the writers and Vince McMahon. Miro managed to take a shot at McMahon in his promo for this.

Miro was in deep thought for the last 2 days
He is ever grateful for being able to return to the ring. He described the vents that led up to his debut in the video as well.
“The feeling is great, like really really great. The feeling through the whole day, just my feelings. Like I was trying to keep myself numb for the past 2 or 3 days and by that I mean I was just trying to tune out of all the emotions and everything that is going by and going through but I think It was the last two days that really got to me. I’ve been really, really excited.”

Miro will be looking to make the impact he can. Even though a lot of fans are pegging him as “another WWE guy”, they must not disregard the massive talent in the Bulgarian.
AEW’s investment in him will surely pay off, and Miro has found himself in a good role for a rising promotion.
