‘The Best in the World’ CM Punk and Eddie Kingston have been going at each other’s throats for weeks now. And the two rivals met inside the squared circle on tonight’s AEW Full Gear.

The match was perhaps one of the most brutal matches for Punk since he made his way to Tony Khan’s promotion. However, being the performer that he is, Punk laid Kingston’s wrath to rest, once he pinned him for a three count.

However, one of the biggest highlights of the match was when Punk teased a signature move of John Cena.

The hatred between the two individuals is something that every AEW fan knows; for weeks, Kingston called Punk out for being an obnoxious person and not giving chances to younger wrestlers.

However, all of it was laid to rest when these bitter rivals met tonight. In a hard-hitting match where jabs and kicks were thrown at each other with every passing minute, Punk took some time off to take a dig on his old rival – John Cena.

Back in WWE, Cena and Punk had one of the grand matches in decades, and the two individuals crossed pats multiple times and produced a classic match every time.

Tonight on Full Gear, towards the end of the match, a bloodied CM Punk built momentum while using Cena’s move sets, which had two shoulder tackles and one slam, before eventually, setting up Kingston for a ‘Five Knuckle Shuffle.’

CM Punk is still undefeated in AEW

After a brutal back and forth, it was ‘The Best in the World’ who emerged victoriously. And now with Kingston out of the way, what is next for the former WWE champion?
