Recent News that has come into light shows Andy Murray has withdrawn himself from the ATP Cup this season due to an injury setback.
Great Britain will be competing in Group C against Belgium, Bulgaria, and Moldova in Sydney. Since Andy Murray is out, he will not be leading the Brits this time in the cup. He has been struggling with a groin injury since he last played the final of the Davis Cup in Madrid.

This news did not come as a surprise as he had also canceled his trip to Miami and instead he chose to stay and spend time with his family. Andy Murray had a preseason training regime planned in Miami which he had to cancel due to the groin injury. Murray last took part in the Davis Cup group stage match against the Netherlands in which he went up against Tallon Griekspoor and defeated him along with the score of 6-7, 6-4, 7-6. He then sustained a groin injury due to which he bowed out of the competition and Kyle Edmund took his place in the team. “I had a scan straight after the match with Griekspoor because my groin area was sore,” he said.
