Alfa Romeo’s veteran driver, Kimi Raikkonen is a man who simply wants to get out on track and race to his heart’s content. Earlier, at Ferrari, he did not enjoy that much freedom, but now, he has free rein to do as he pleases.

At the Bahrain Grand Prix 2019, he did exactly that, and has since livened up the midfield battle. On lap 34, Raikkonen was charging up the pack after his pitstop when he came across the two Toro Rosso drivers. What followed next was an epic display that showed that inspite of his age, Kimi Raikkonen never lost that spark in him.

The veteran and 2007 Formula One world champion, made short work of Thai driver Alexander Albon first. Then, the Finn needed only two corners to overtake Russian driver, Daniil Kvyat.

Kimi Raikkonen ended the race in 7th, with Albon in 9th and two precious points in the bag. Kvyat in the meantime, concluded his race in 12th.
