Roger Federer played the last match of his professional career last year at the Laver Cup in London. He partnered up with Rafael Nadal to play doubles and go out with his good friend. With Nadal, he faced Jack Sock and Frances Tiafoe, who were much better when it came to doubles. The two players defeated them in three sets and sent Federer off. Now, back to the Laver Cup, Tiafoe met Federer and reminded him of the defeat as he went down straight to smack-talking a member of his opposing team.

As the Laver Cup is on the cusp of beginning, the Swiss Maestro is there to attend the tournament this year. After tying off a legendary career 12 months ago, Roger met with Tiafoe and the vice-captain of the world team, Patrick McEnroe.

With them being on the opposing team, Tiafoe wasted no time to remind Federer of his defeat against him last year. After shaking hands with him, Tiafoe said, “Last time I was on this court, you had a lot of tears on this court“, mentioning Federer crying after his defeat. Nadal and Federer lost to Tiafoe and Sock in three sets. The third set was especially exciting as the two pairs gave their all.
