Novak Djokovic has taken the center stage of attention in the media, albeit for all the wrong reasons. Usually at the top of his game, the 34-year-old has had an unusual start to the new season. The Serb landed Down Under in hope of winning an astonishing 10th Australian Open title. However, his participation at the next week’s Grand Slam has been thrown into limbo with the decision going against him yesterday.

While going through all this, he has been constantly receiving the support of his family members. His family has spoken actively against his visa cancelation and subsequent deportation. Moreover, his fans have taken to the streets in support of World Number 1. Celebrities around the globe have given their opinions on this case. Naomi Osaka, the Japanese World Number 14, is the latest icon to break her silence on this saga.

Last year, Naomi Osaka faced a similar situation. At the 2021 French Open, a disagreement with tournament organizers over fulfillment of media commitments saw her withdraw from the tournament. She later cited that she had suffered long bouts of depression since the 2018 US Open and had hard times coping with that.
