Fans of sports personalities are some of the most devoted fans in the world. They will fight tooth and nail for their favorite when it comes down to it. And quite expectedly, Novak Djokovic fans are no different. Their favorite player is not often seen in the same light as others, which angers them even more. Recently, a renowned sports journalist criticized the Serb and found himself receiving several unsavory comments on social media. He shared his experience of being hounded by his fans in a post on the Daily Mail.

It’s a known consensus that Djokovic fans usually never leave anyone who talks smack about their favorite. Fans of the Djoker also flamed Andy Murray, who took a jibe at Djokovic as they did with the sportswriter.

Mike Dickson is likely afraid to log in and check his social media pages after the comments he received last week. He wrote about how it is sad that Djokovic is still at the top at 36. Dickson also talked about how it is time for other players to step up.

His piece did not go well with Nolefam even slightly. Dickson found himself on the receiving end of much hate and published another article where he talked about his experienceAfter his previous article went live, An all-too familiar pattern followed — a few of them highlight the thought crime, others latch on, and it quickly sinks into a flurry of personal insults as they extol the Dear Supreme Leader.”

Dickson has gained a new lesson since the last week. It was to not talk smack about Djokovic without giving proof of the demerits. Otherwise, his days on social media would be numbered. Incidentally, he joins Andy Murray in this experience, who was also derided by Nolefam.

Andy Murray hounded by Djokovic fans

A video of the 2014 Shanghai Masters went viral recently, which showed Roger Federer facing Novak Djokovic in the finals. During one of the rallies, Djokovic fired a forehand ball that struck Federer on the body. Andy Murray responded to Djokovic’s shot, saying it was a legitimate play. But he also mentioned how Nole complained about a similar shot he received against Rafael Nadal in Canada and Norrie in Rome.

Similar to Dickson’s comments, Murray’s words did not sit well with Djokovic’s fans. His jibe was heavily criticized by fans of the Serb, and they even went ahead and called him attention-seeking. These two instances show that Djokovic’s fans should not be taken lightly. However, it is good to see that lacking from his early years, the 24-time grand slam champion has finally developed a loyal fan base now.
