Top-ranked American ATP icons Taylor Fritz and Frances Tiafoe are recently part of a huge announcement made by Roger Federer’s Laver Cup. The tournament, of which the two are former champions is to be held in Vancouver at the Rogers Arena, from September 22-24th. With that, the official team announcements have started, and breaking through the nervous intrigue news is that Fritz and Tiafoe are set to team up once again this season!

These two of America’s best tennis icons and Canadian No.1 Felix Auger-Aliassime, will play for Team World, coached by veteran ATP legend and recent pickleball-enthusiast John McEnroe. Looking back, the 2022 Laver Cup will forever remain unforgettable owing to the Swiss Maestro’s retirement. However, it will also serve as a standard for Team World this time, as they look to defend their title, securing their second victory over Team Europe- a four-time champion.

Laver Cup looks set to deliver on its promise

Team world captain John McEnroe is nothing less than thrilled to have a chance at defeating Borg’s Team Europe once again. “It’s like getting the band back together,” said McEnroe. “Taylor, Frances, and Felix have all played Laver Cup multiple times and were big factors in our victory last year. I know I can count on these guys to step up. I really like our chances with them on the team in Vancouver.”

But, Frances, Felix, and I know from experience how quickly momentum can shift in Laver Cup, so we will need to be at our best.”
