Carlos Alcaraz is more than just a tennis prodigy; he’s a rising force reshaping the game. With four Grand Slam titles—two of them claimed this year—and an Olympic silver medal in his arsenal, the young Spaniard has been making waves and proving his mettle time and again. But here’s the thing: Alcaraz’s brilliance isn’t just elevating his own career; it’s also working wonders for his longtime coach, Juan Carlos Ferrero.
The Spanish tennis sensation wrapped up his year in Turin after being ousted in the group stage of the ATP Finals. But while he could not clinch the title, his win-loss ratio throughout the year remained remarkable with the Spaniard winning 54 of the 67 matches he played. Besides, he won four titles including the French Open and Wimbledon. But these successful campaigns are not only increasing Alcaraz’s reputation but are also helping his coach in getting some significant endorsements.
In the latest development reported by Marca, two global brands, sportswear giant Nike and tennis equipment brand Babolat have partnered with Ferrero Tennis Academy in Villena, and have become official sponsors of the academy. Remember, this is the same academy where Alcaraz also carries out a major portion of his training sessions. But this is not just all!

Reportedly, Carlos Alcaraz’s coach, Ferrero has also signed a deal with Nike and has already debuted his kit during the training sessions this week. He will also make his official debut with his new kit at the upcoming Australian Open scheduled to take place in January 2025. These developments clearly signify that Alcaraz’s mammoth rise is not just helping him, but all the close people associated with him. And when it comes to Nike, Alcaraz’s partnership with the sportswear giant is not new.

According to a Relevo, Alcaraz signed a lucrative deal with Nike that was estimated to pay him close to $15 to $20 million per year over the next decade. Nike was also reported to have designed a logo for the star player, a luxury that was previously given to only legends like Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer. Now, it seems like the brand is entering into a strategic partnership with his coach too, to ensure a stronger bond with the Spanish star. But more than the deals, Alcaraz is now gearing up for a stellar season in 2025, for which he already seems to have his goals set.

Carlos Alcaraz might have dazzled the tennis world remarkably but there is one major feat that has stayed away from him so far and it is the Australian Open title. While he reached closer this year, he fell short against Alexander Zverev in the quarterfinals and lost in a four-setter match. Now, as he gears up for yet another campaign in Australia, he wishes to prove his mettle there too.

Speaking about the same, Alcaraz said, “I am a very ambitious person and I want to win the Australian Open to complete the Career Grand Slam.” Elaborating further, he added, “I want 2025 to be even more exciting. Let’s say I want more. Australia is what I want to tattoo, even if my father doesn’t like it very much. Being champion there is my main goal for next season.”
As he gears up for an enthralling season, it would be interesting to see if he can accomplish his goals under Juan Carlos Ferrero’s tutelage. What’s next for this dynamic duo? Well, only time will tell.
