He further went ahead to mention that the upcoming American sensation is a sensational kid.

Just recently, he captured the hearts of tennis enthusiasts worldwide with an extraordinary performance at the US Open, where he defied expectations and stormed into the semi-finals.

In a gripping showdown, he faced none other than the reigning champion, Novak Djokovic, in a clash that left spectators on the edge of their seats. While victory eluded him on that occasion, Shelton’s remarkable run has marked him as a rising force in the tennis world. However, his recent visit to support his team Florida Gators was no short of a surprise as he was also once a player who represented the same team as a tennis player.

Shelton played for Florida Gators before making it professional

Ben Shelton, under the guidance of his father and coach Bryan Shelton, represented the University of Florida where he helped his team Gators win the team championship in the year 2021. The same year, he also managed to bag a singles title which marked the beginning of an incredible career for the young American.

Post that, his only remarkable performance came at the US Open where he managed to reach the semi-finals of the tournament, joining the likes of Kevin Anderson in creating a great milestone. Kevin, who played at Illinois managed to reach the finals of the US Open back in the year 2017. Thus, the remarkable feat achieved by Shelton is appreciable.
