‘Give It Up’ – Fans Turn against Andy Murray as He Refuses to Accept ‘Reality’ Despite Repeated Failures

When it comes to greatness, there is hardly anyone who would not count Andy Murray on that list. From Grand Slams to Olympic gold to numerous ATP titles, there is hardly anything that the British legend did not accomplish in the game. However, time and injuries have not been in his favor over the last few years. That has also brought him under a lot of backlash from the fans who have asked him to retire from the sport.
Despite this, the former world number 1 has expressed his desire to carry on while playing the challengers. But Murray’s decision was not welcomed by the fans as they went ahead to slam the British legend once again for considering retirement.
Fans ask Andy Murray to retire whilst he continues to pursue his career further

Recently, the fans came in and asked Andy Murray to retire as they felt like he had not been at his best level. One fan suggested that someone should tell Murray to hang up the racket as he has not been playing well. “Tell this man to retire….He’s been shiite….Murray in 2024?” said the fan.

While Murray suggested that he would be playing the challengers, a fan argued that he is not accepting reality, which is not a good thing. With the injuries that he had, it is time for him to step away.

Two of the legends of the sport, Andy Roddick and Martina Navratilova recently came in support of the British star. While suggesting that he has already made a legacy in the sport that cannot be taken away, they also pointed out that Murray exactly knows what he is doing and will do so till the day he wants.

Despite the hatred that he got, Murray got the support of two of the biggest names in the sport as they suggested that Murray would know when to end his career.
