During a break at the Laver Cup, Federer was asked an interesting question from a fan in the stadium which was later delivered by the interviewer. The question goes: “As the father of two teenage girls, what is you rbest advice on staying at their good side?”
With a hint of humor and a generous dose of candor, Federer responded, “I’m just happy to be allowed to live in my own house. Does that make sense? It’s tough times (chuckles) They’re amazing, I love them, but My God, I cannot believe that they are who they are right now at 14. I feel like I have taught them everything and more, and yeah, at the moment, it’s complicated but in a good way. I know it’s gonna pass. But I’d also like it if it stays because I like that my girls have a strong character. So it’s all good. Maybe my 2 cents of advice is I am happy that they come and shout and cry at home instead of doing that away. I guess I know that they share all their emotions with me and talk about everything, and I love that, honestly.”
