Daniil Medvedev does not care about Novak Djokovic’s calendar Slam

Firstly, the 25-year-old Russian acknowledged the risk of disrupting tennis history. However, Medvedev is himself a competitor and has his own goals to focus on.

“I think from my side if I can make this, I’ll probably be in the history books a little bit sour like not letting him do this,” Medvedev said. “But I don’t really care about it. I think it’s more about him.”

Furthermore, the 2019 US Open finalist explained how Djokovic would be under pressure in this match. In addition, he also stated how it could be a motivating factor for the Serb.

“It affects him because from one side, for sure he’s going to feel the pressure a little bit about it. From the other side, that’s what’s going to make him be even better in tough moments,” the Russian said.
