However, as it seems the Serbian tennis pro Filip Krajinovic already seemed to have lived that dream.

In a recent revelation, Krajinovic came ahead and talked about his relationship with Roger Federer while shedding light on the time that they spent together playing in Miami. Not only this, he also revealed how Federer’s generosity helped him land one of the best junior contracts in the world.

Filip Krajinović, a young tennis player, got a big chance to train with Roger Federer back in the day. Krajinović was just 15 and a top junior player. He got a call because they were in the same agency, IMG. Federer needed a sparring partner and chose Krajinović to play with him in Miami.

But things really turned out in the young player’s favor when Nike, who was at the time looking to sign Krajinović, asked Federer for his opinion. Given that the deal would be a game changer for the budding player’s career, Federer’s opinion tipping in the Serbian’s favor was of utmost importance. And as it turns out, the former world no.1 backed the deal, which eventually led to Krajinović’s partnership with the brand.

“I came to Miami and I remember coming to play with Federer, and at that time it was… I can’t describe the feeling. At that moment, I was supposed to sign a contract with Nike, and they asked Federer what he thought about the kid. He said all the best and that’s when I got one of the biggest junior contracts in the world,” said Krajinovic. “His word was very strong at that moment. It was truly an unforgettable experience,” he further added.

Thus, not only did he get a chance to play with the best in the world but also succeeded in earning a dream contract at just 15 years old. It was all made possible because of the Swiss superstar.

However, despite siding with Roger Federer and thanking him for the opportunity of his life, the Serbian superstar went ahead and extended his support to fellow countryman Novak Djokovic after he was asked about the best player in the world.

Further in the interview, while crediting the ‘Big 3’ as one of the best generations of players that the tennis world has seen, he slightly shifted towards Novak Djokovic while crediting him as the best player in the world. He further went ahead to add that coming out on top at a time which was dominated by his peer rivals was something aspiring.

“Novak is the best tennis player of all time. According to all statistics, he is the best, the best player. In my opinion, I would put him in the top three athletes of all time. What did he do, at what time and how, respect! I think that athletes also consider him one of the best of all time, not only in tennis,” said Krajinovic.

Thus, Novak Djokovic has certainly made a huge impact among both aspiring tennis stars and professional athletes as they consider him the best of all time due to his heroics on the court.
