In the message, he said that he was bidding goodbye to the legendary fan club with a heavy heart and a huge smile. He also thanked everyone on the fan club committee for the memories that they created over the years.

“Last “official” picture with Roger Federer, during the Final Event and last lifeday of his official Fans Club… this time we really say goodbye, between tears and big smiles… Thank you, Roger, and thank you everyone from the committee at fans4roger, we collected extraordinary memories for ever!” wrote the fan.

Federer fan club announced that it will stop its operations by the end of 2023

Back in the year 2005, a fan club was formed which gave the fans a chance to meet and greet Roger Federer where they got to know more about the champion. Over the years, the club worked hard enough and was able to organize extensive meetups. But recently, they had a tough choice to make.

Federer, who announced his retirement in 2022, equipped his calendar completely with his off-court ventures. This restricted his time and could barely manage time for the meetings. Considering this, the organizers had to make a tough call as they decided to not run the fan club after this year. “The fan club, founded in 2005, will be dissolved at the end of the year. Roger is no longer playing and he doesn’t know yet whether he will play show matches later,” said Doris Topfer, the fan meetings’ authority.

Thus, this news came as a heartbreak to many fans who got a chance to connect with the legend of the game. With him calling his time on the game, it has become extremely difficult for him to manage his time due to his off-court ventures and enjoying some personal time with his family.
