In a candid interview, Rafael Nadal, known for his dominance on clay courts and incredible determination, did something surprising. Rafael Nadal admitted to Djokovic’s dominance, with an underhanded compliment. With just a smidge of regret over his physical limitations Nadal stated as per AS, “As always, everyone can combine the story as they wish, saying that I have suffered many injuries. Bad luck for me or bad luck that I had my body this way. He has had another one, and in some ways, that is also part of the sport. I congratulate you for everything you are achieving, and that does not cause me any type of frustration.”

This declaration however came out just 2 days after Nadal talked a lot of the expected frustration from his end now that Novak Djokovic has surpassed Nadal’s record of 22 Grand Slams.

Rafael Nadal’s philosophical approach

While the world often judges success by records and achievements, Nadal’s viewpoint is based on his personal journey. He recently sat down for a conversation with Movistar after a long interview hiatus. “One can’t always be frustrated over one thing or another. You can’t live frustrated over the neighbor having a better car than mine or a better house…At the end, life is what it is, and we do what we can with it. I’m not frustrated for a simple reason—within my possibilities, I’ve done all I can to make things happen for me,” Nadal noted candidly.
