In total, nearly twenty-six of Jeffrey John “J.J.” Wolf’s relatives have taken up a sport at either the collegiate or professional level. J.J. Wolf’s father played college basketball and pro tennis, his mother and sister were also collegiate tennis athletes and his grandfather was a legendary NBA coach. Now there is a new addition to the list! Meet Emma Sears, the talented soccer player who’s also captured Wolf’s heart!

Emma Sears met J.J. Wolf while studying at the Ohio State University. The tennis star started at the University in 2017 and Sears joined it two years later. Emma is an American professional soccer player who plays in the forward position for Racing Louisville F of the NWSL. The 23-year-old soccer player has played college soccer for the Ohio State Buckeyes and was drafted by Louisville in the second round of the 2024 NWSL Draft.

With the Buckeyes, she earned All-Big Ten honors in three different seasons including first-team recognition in 2023. Emma Sears helped Ohio State to four NCAA Tournament berths, including a second-round appearance in 2022. Her second professional goal which she scored on May 18, 2024, won NWSL Goal of the Week. According to the latest reports, J.J. Wolf’s super talented girlfriend has recently signed a contract extension as well with her current club which would keep her with them till the 2026 season. Even her twin sister, Bronwen, has played collegiate soccer for Miami University.

In 2023, Sears graduated with a degree in health science. The couple has been the biggest supporters of each other throughout their journeys. Being an athlete themselves, it seems to be that they have a good understanding of each other’s busy schedules. However, in between that, they’re often spotted going out for a trip together. Their romantic relationship was officially brought out publicly when J.J. Wolf posted a photo of them together during a trip to Columbus, Ohio.

J.J. Wolf is often found engaging himself with a lot of outdoor activities such as hiking, fly fishing or playing water sports. He loves to go outside and explore the world. And, guess what? He now has got a partner to give him accompany too! “My girlfriend really loves outdoor activities too, so we’ll go for a trip when we can,” Wolf revealed in an interview.

Wolf strongly believes his family’s women have influenced his tennis career a lot. During a recent interview with ATP, J.J. Wolf stated, “My sister was also my first practice partner and my mom was my first doubles partner. We used to have some mixed matches when I was growing up.” Nobody wanted to lose and he strongly believes these moments have helped him spark up his competitive spirit within himself. He believes he wouldn’t be here where he is today without the support of the very important people in his life.
