Want to watch some real aggressive and offensive action inside the 78 x 27 ft? Then you got to watch ‘Danimal’ from the front seat! Danielle Collins brings a highly aggressive style of play with a “fearless” attitude whenever she steps onto the court. However, her aggression sometimes tends to spill beyond the confines of the courts as well! American tennis legend Andy Roddick recently spoke about Collins’s vibe and on-court aggression during the recent episode of ‘Served with Andy Roddick’.

The 30-year-old American tennis star has already announced that she will be taking a retirement from tennis after this season. But this season is far from over for Collins. She has already won two titles this season, and now she’s hungry for more. Andy Roddick says Danielle Collins brings a different vibe whenever she steps onto the court. It’s like you don’t have to be a diehard tennis fan to understand her vibe to understand that there’s like this primal aggression inside of this. You know, awesome you know, woman just taking cuts and everything,” said Roddick.

He further went on to add, “There’s it’s not like there’s this like, subtlety It’s like she is going to walk up and throw haymakers like and it’s just it’s fun I mean, so I get it.” And when she’s in that aggressive mood, it’s better to maintain a distance from the ‘Danimal’. This applies to both players and spectators on the court.

Recently, in Madrid, the tennis world saw how Danielle Collins completely shut down a heckler during her third-round match against Jacqueline Cristian. She didn’t hesitate once to call out that individual by yelling, You come out in here and play, you do what I do, okay? Have a little more respect.” A similar incident happened in her fourth-round match as well. She was seen losing her cool when she got distracted by a spectator’s cry during the rally. So, if you are in the stadium to watch ‘Danimal‘ prowl on its prey, be careful, very careful!

Another American tennis legend, Jan-Michael Gambill, reflects on the other side of Danielle Collins

Danielle Collins once said, “I try to play like an animal out there. It’s like I think rock and roll when I go on the court, try to bring the heat.” These lines truly explain her nature in the courts. She has gained quite several fans over the last few months, not just with her performance but also with the passion and aggression she brings with her on the court. If only wearing one’s heart on one’s sleeve had a better example.

However, American tennis legend, Jan-Michael Gambill believes Collins doesn’t always show her complete personality on the court. Once, during an interview with Tennis Channel, he said, “I love her personality. I love seeing her smile because sometimes she gets so angry in the court we’re not seeing much of that smile. But when she’s winning, we get to know about her kind of quirky fun personality.

He went on to add, “She’s an extremely likeable person, and it has not let people in that often until we’re seeing now, so I think it’s just great we’re getting the complete package, uh, of the Danimal.” Collins is all set to step onto the court at the 2024 Italian Open. Can the hot-headed tennis star clinch her third title of the season in Rome?
