It’s widely known that mixing business with pleasure is not advisable. However, there are tennis players, out there who have been ignoring this advice. We take a look at some of the tennis players, who have been dating, ahead of the first slam of the year Australian Open 2019.

Dominic Thiem and Kristina Mladenovic have been together for a couple of years now, and at the end of 2017 they made their love story public.

The rumors were “officiated” during the last match of Dominic in London when Kiki appeared in his box near Thiem’s mother cheering for the Austrian. Dominic Thiem will be hoping for a better performance at the Australian Open 2019, after a disappointing start to his season in Abu Dhabi and Qatar.

10. Nick Kyrgios and Alja Tomljanovic

The couple began dating in 2015 and were fairly tight until they broke up in July 2017. However, it now seems that they have made up and it is rumored that Nick Kyrgios is planning to drop to his knees some time soon. After dropping out of the top 50 in the ATP singles rankings, it’s good to see that Kyrgios has found someone who knows the sport and can support him through his tough times.

Daria Gavrilova and Luke Saville have been dating since their junior days. Gavrilova recently agreed to Saville’s proposal, admitting that the beach-side proposal during the pre-season took her by surprise. Luke Saville, for those who do not know, is an Australian tennis player, and is a doubles specialist, who will feature at the Australian open 2019 alongside Purcell.

Kiki Bertens, who has had a wonderful 2018 campaign, was proposed by her long time boy-friend Remko de Rijke. De Rijke is a former player, before he became Bertens’ physio and eventually, they fell in love.

Stan Wawrinka, who ended his first marriage in 2015, has been dating WTA player Donna Vekic ever since. The two have been spotted spending the off-season together, and have made their relationship quite public. Stan Wawrinka, who is on a comeback trail, will look to put up a decent performance at the Australian Open 2019, after being beaten by the eventual champion Roberto Bautista Agut in Qatar.

Jack Sock, who is fast becoming a doubles specialist, has been dating the Brit Katie Boulter, who herself is a pro player on the WTA circuit. Doubles tennis star, Mike Bryan first sparked the rumors when he posted an picture of Boulter and Sock holding hands. Jack Sock will begin his preparations for the Australian Open 2019, at the Sydney International.

Nicole Gibbs, is an American born pro player who has 4 singles titles to her name on the ITF cicuit. She got engaged to her boyfriend of six years, Jack Brody at University of Stanford—the site of their first kiss.

4. Simona Halep and Radu Barbu

Simona Halep and Radu Barbu met through friends through their tennis and Romanian connections. Among their mutual friends was Halep’s old coach Andrei Mlendea. The pair has never announced their relationship in public and has even denied their romantic connection to their friends. However, the couple were recently spotted having some good time in Italy. Simona Halep will kick start her Australian Open 2019 campaign after she competes at the Sydney International.

The 22-year-old, Madison Keys, who is a former US Open finalist, is dating fellow American tennis player, Bjorn Fratangelo, and the relationship is now Insta official.

This has to be the most powerful tennis couple dating out there. Previously, it was believed that Gael Monfils was dating a model and Elina Svitolina was dating an English cricketer. However, recent images have surfaced showing the two hanging out in Melbourne as well as in Geneva.

1.Alexander Zverev and Olga Sharypova

Alexander Zverev has a new girlfriend, and her name is Sharypova. No, we have not made an error in the spelling, and nor have we got her confused with Maria Sharapova. Olga Sharypova(who also hails from Russia) is an ITF player, and has also played juniors tournaments. The pair have been spotted together during the off season, spending their days in the Maldives islands.

Alexander Zverev, has had a mixed start to his season as he heads into the first slam of the year. The German who hit his peak in late 2018, will look to capitalize on that in Melbourne.
