Inside Michael Jordan’s $10 Million Wedding With Yvette Prieto Attended by Tiger Woods and Other Celebrities

In 2013, Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan tied the knot for the second time. While the NBA icon enjoys his privacy, not everything ends up being under the radar. His wedding with Yvette Pietro was well documented, with many famous names making their way to congratulate Jordan and Pietro.

The whole affair apparently cost Jordan around $10 million. It was an elaborate event, with even the tent setting a record. Jordan has been married to Prieto for years now and has a wonderful with her.

When did Michael Jordan Marry his Wife Yvette Prieto?

Jordan married Yvette Prieto on April 27, 2013.

The lavish, star-studded wedding took place at The Church of Bethesda-By-The Sea in Palm Beach, Florida. Following the wedding, they had a reception organized at the Bear’s Club in Jupiter. The large tent used was apparently the largest tent in wedding history. It was apparently five thousand square feet larger than Jordan’s own house.

A source reported that it smelled beautiful and looked like a garden. They referred to it as heavenly, adding that the room was filled with thousands of candles.

The wedding, as mentioned, cost around $10 million. The whole thing was apparently coordinated by wedding planner Sharon Sacks.

How did Pietro and Jordan meet?

Jordan, who was married to Juanita Vanoy before, met Pietro at a club in 2008. A year later, they moved into a spacious Miami home. By 2011, the couple was engaged. Pietro worked as a model, who has worked with people like Alexander Wang before.

They even signed a prenup, which indicated Pietro will receive $1 million for every year they are married. If they are together for over 10 years before parting ways, Pietro will be getting $5 million every year.

The couple has two children together–Victoria and Ysabel Jordan. The two girls are twins and were born on February 9, 2014. Jordan has three children with Vanoy as well.

Who all attended the wedding?

Jordan’s wedding was certainly overflowing with stars. His Chicago Bulls teammate Scottie Pippen was in attendance, along with New York Knicks legend Patrick Ewing and director Spike Lee. PGA Tour icon Tiger Woods was also present. Artists like Usher and Robin Thicke apparently performed at the reception.

Are Tiger Woods and Michael Jordan close friends?

Two of the greatest athletes of all time were bound to cross paths one way or another. And Jordan is an avid golfer, this became easier. A 14-year-old Woods was also convinced that he was to be golf’s Jordan.

“I might be sort of like a Michael Jordan in basketball, something like that,” Woods said during an interview.

Woods also spoke about Jordan after his 1997 Masters win, and how the six-time NBA champion helped him deal with the loss of privacy and. The 15-time major winner added that Jordan has made himself known as the NBA GOAT, who is just like his big brother.

Having said that, the two apparently fell apart in 2009, when Woods was having a bad time on and off the court. However, as Woods turned things around, their friendship seems to have survived, especially if he was invited to Jordan’s second wedding.

Either way, Jordan seems to be extremely happy with his life as of now. He maintains his privacy, barely making a public appearance.
