After Deron Williams faced Frank Gore, we saw what happens when you get into it with an NBA player inside the boxing ring. However, outside the boxing ring is a different story for NBA players. What happens when an NBA player triggers a boxing legend right beside the ring? Apparently, nothing, because this indeed happened during an iconic match a few years ago. The NBA star was our very own LeBron James who triggered the legendary Mike Tyson by simply sitting in front of him.

This happened four years ago in the iconic Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor fight. Unfortunately for Mike Tyson, he got his seats right behind LeBron James. And later on, after the fight, Tyson spoke about the trouble those seats caused him just because of LeBron James.

When Mike Tyson cursed his bad luck for sitting behind LeBron James

When Mike Tyson appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel show in 2017, he spoke about his experience sitting behind LeBron James.
“Yeah, that was very difficult to watch the fight. So I had to look at the fight and they had televisions in the ceiling so I looked at the ceiling.”

To be fair, one cannot blame either of them. LeBron James’ listed height is 6 ft 8.5 inches, and he was sitting in front of Mike Tyson who’s 5 ft 10 inches tall. So that difference of almost an entire foot cost him the live experience of watching Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor in action. Naturally, he was bound to be angry. Yet, he did nothing about it and only blamed it on his bad luck. Lucky for LeBron otherwise for all we know, this trend of celebrities fighting each other in the ring could have started years ago.

When former NBA All-Star faced NFL future Hall of Famer in the ring

Recently, former NBA All-Star Deron Williams faced NFL’s running back Frank Gore in the boxing ring. The match ended with a knockout of Gore by Williams as the NBA community rejoiced in pride of the former All-Star. This was not the first time they invited an NBA player to the ring. Recently, even Nate Robinson faced Jake Paul in the boxing ring. While that did not end very well for the NBA community, this one certainly was a boost to their ego.
