Portland Trail Blazers have had a rough start to the season. Led by Damian Lillard, they have now lost five of their eight games this season. The recent 107-104 loss against the Cavaliers is their third consecutive loss in this campaign. However, Dame had the opportunity to change the result of this game, but he missed at a clutch situation.

Dame Time‘, who used to provide insane comebacks with his breathtaking shots at the clutch, is seemingly absent this season. At least his OT miss, leading to a Cavs win, proves the same.

Damian Lillard misses the game-tying 3-pointer vs Cavs

The Cavaliers led the game by 3 points with just 9.7 secs left on the clock. At that crucial point, Lillard, the most dependable player, received a pass in front of the 3-point arc.

The Big Game Dame, after disbalancing, dribbled towards his left to the left corner of the arc to find space for a 3-pointer. He got a clear shot from the 3-point arc, but the shot hit the rim and bounced back. The 23-YO Jarrett Allen did a great job defending him.  With that, the Cavs got the possession, and the clock expired, leading to a Cavs win. Following is a clip of the same.

Six-time All-Star Damian Lillard has been with the Blazers since 2012. Moreover, he has been the centerpiece of the team for the past 3-4 seasons. But after their magical 2018-19 campaign, the Blazers have failed to make it past the first round of the playoffs.

During the offseason, it was reported that Lillard could leave the Blazers. But that didn’t happen, as Dame chose to stay in Portland this season. And now, even with Lillard, the Blazers have been poor on the road this season as all of their three victories have come at home.

They face Indiana Pacers next at the Moda Center. There, they can end their 3-game winless run against the Pacers with a home advantage. But the Pacers are coming fresh off a comfortable win vs the Knicks earlier today.
