The cancelation of E3 brought about major changes in plans for many developers. E3 usually sees the reveal of major game titles for the year. The recent PS5 event did see some developers announcing some of their titles, which could have been a part of the canceled event. Kotaku had reported that Warner Bros was one of the developers that were set to announce some titles at E3. Possible titles included a new Batman game and a Harry Potter RPG.

Batman reveal coming soon?

Gamesreactor leaked out news about the Batman game that was teased eight months back. Warner Bros. Montreal were the developers of Batman Arkham Origins, which garnered many positive reviews.

Initial leaks also hinted that the ‘Court of Owls’ will be a part of the game. WB had many plans to hype the game for the company’s first-ever E3 reveal, but the world pandemic and BLM situation have put the hype at a halt for now. The game is likely to release within a few months. With PS5 launching, there is no better time.

In fact, the report suggests the game is “slated to release sooner than you might think.”

It should be noted that most claims in the report have indeed come true.

Another game that Warner Bros intended to showcase at E3 was either a Harry Potter title. There were chances for an undisclosed project from Rocksteady studios as well.

Although it is super disappointing that we could not get a look at these games, WB could push for some of the other releases soon. The games look promising but given the circumstances, could we see EA or Activision being a part of it? Leave your comments below.

Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment up for sale

When it comes to the world of gaming, a name that has continuously brought up some of the epic titles would be Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. Recent times have caused a major loss for many. None could have expected Warner Bros to be up for sale.

According to reports from CNBC, AT&T is looking to sell Warner Bros.Interactive Entertainment. Take-Two, EA, and Activision are front runners to make the buy. The gaming division of Warner Bros owns major titles that include The Batman, Mortal Kombat, LEGO, Harry Potter, and many more.

As of now, no deal has been finalized, but AT&T is looking for a sum close to $4 Billion. Even if a deal is finalized, AT&T would be looking to add a clause that will see them receive revenue for their Intellectual Property.

AT&T acquired WB back in 2018. The overall debt stands to a figure close to $200 billion. Perhaps, they are looking to clear off some of their debt with this sale. If the said reports come out true, it will be a huge blow for the company.
